MSWDO welfare services for socially disadvantaged women in Mapandan. Counselling, shelter, and referral available.

Description

The MSWDO promotes the welfare of socially disadvantaged women, including battered and maltreated women and rape victims. Services include rescue and recovery, counselling, referral to other agencies, and temporary shelter and custody care. The MSWDO coordinates with PNP, hospitals, and the Prosecutor's Office for cases requiring legal action.

Procedure

  1. Register at the MSWD Office. Staff will refer the client for intake.
  2. Discuss the problem and provide relevant information. Staff interviews, gathers data, and counsels.
  3. Staff refers the client to PNP, Hospital, Prosecutor's Office, or other agencies if necessary.
  4. Follow up with home visits, counseling, and other services as needed.
