Pre-Natal Consultation
Free pre-natal consultation for antenatal women at the Mapandan Rural Health Unit. Lab tests and health teaching included.
Description
The RHU provides pre-natal consultation services for antenatal women. The service includes registration in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), OB history, vital signs, Leopold's maneuver, fetal heartbeat assessment, and fundic height measurement. Routine laboratory tests (CBC, urinalysis, HBsAg, RPR) are requested. The MHO conducts complete physical examination, interprets laboratory results, and provides health teaching on proper nutrition, prenatal care, breastfeeding, and immunization. High-risk patients are referred to higher-level facilities.
Requirements
- Valid ID (government issued, employment, school, barangay certification)
- Medical Records, Laboratory Results, Prescription for Medicines (from previous physician, if any)
Procedure
- Register in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Midwife encodes OB history, vital signs, and performs Leopold's maneuver.
- Request for routine laboratory tests (CBC, urinalysis, HBsAg Screening, RPR test).
- MHO performs complete physical examination and interprets laboratory results.
- If high-risk, patient is referred to a higher level of facility.
- Health teaching on proper nutrition, prenatal care, breastfeeding, and immunization.
