Laboratory Examination

Laboratory services at the Mapandan RHU. CBC, urinalysis, fecalysis, pregnancy test, and more available at affordable rates.

Description

The RHU primary laboratory provides various diagnostic tests including ABO/RH typing, pregnancy test, CBC, urinalysis, fecalysis, Hepatitis B screening, and fasting blood sugar (FBS). The MHO provides a laboratory request, and the Medical Technologist conducts the examination. Results are interpreted by the MHO who prescribes medications as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid ID (government issued, employment, school, barangay certification)
  • Physician's laboratory request / referral

Procedure

  1. Register in the log book. Midwife encodes data, vital signs, and asks about symptoms.
  2. MHO conducts physical examination and requests laboratory tests.
  3. Submit specimen for testing. Available tests: ABO/RH typing (₱100), Pregnancy test (₱50), CBC (₱150), Urinalysis (₱65), Fecalysis (₱65), Hepatitis B screening (₱200), FBS (₱100).
  4. Medical Technologist conducts the laboratory examination.
  5. MHO interprets laboratory results and prescribes medications.
