Building Appraisal / Assessment

Description

The Municipal Assessor's Office conducts appraisal and assessment of buildings and other structures for real property taxation purposes. The assessment covers the type of construction, floor area, materials used, depreciation, and current market value. The assessed value of the building is added to the land's assessed value for real property tax computation. The process includes review of building plans, site inspection, and computation of assessed value.

Requirements

  • Building plans or blueprints
  • Certificate of Occupancy (from MEO)
  • Valid Government-issued ID of the owner
  • Tax Declaration of the land

Procedure

  1. Submit all required documents to the Assessor's Office.
  2. Staff receives and reviews the application (5 min).
  3. Assessor conducts site inspection of the building (15 min).
  4. Staff computes the assessed value and prepares the updated Tax Declaration (5 min).
  5. Pay ₱700 at the Treasury Office and claim the updated Tax Declaration (5 min).
