Seed Certification Services

Get seed certification services from the Mapandan MAO. Free lab analysis and seed tags for registered seed growers.

Description

The Municipal Agriculturist provides technical and extension services for seed certification. The service includes seed sampling in the presence of the Seed Inspector, laboratory analysis, and issuance of seed tags. Available to registered members of the Seed Grower Association. The Municipal Agriculturist coordinates with the Seeds Laboratory for analysis.

Requirements

  • Membership in Seed Grower Association
  • Actual harvest date notification to Seeds Inspector

Procedure

  1. Submit/show requirements and inform the Seeds Inspector of the actual date of harvest.
  2. Municipal Agriculturist confirms presence at the date of harvest (10 min).
  3. Gather seed samples in the presence of the Seed Inspector and submit to the seed laboratory for analysis (10 min).
  4. Seeds Laboratory analyzes seed samples, tags, and prepares report (15 min).
  5. Receive result of the seed analysis and sign log book. Seeds Inspector delivers seed tags and discusses results (15 min).
