Crop Protection Technical Services

Free crop protection services from the Mapandan MAO. Farm inspection, plant analysis, and pest management recommendations.

Description

The Municipal Agriculturist provides technical and extension services for crop protection. The Agricultural Technologist conducts farm inspections, examines plant health, submits samples to DA-RCPC for analysis, and provides recommendations for pest and disease management. Available to registered farmers.

Requirements

  • Registration as a farmer
  • Notification of farm visit schedule to assigned Agricultural Technologist

Procedure

  1. Inform the assigned Agricultural Technologist of the actual date of farm visit for crop protection.
  2. AT confirms presence at the date of crop protection visit (10 min).
  3. AT inspects the farm and examines the physical appearance of plants (15 min).
  4. AT analyzes the plants and prepares reports. Samples sent to DA-RCPC (15 min).
  5. Receive results of plant analysis. AT discusses results and gives appropriate recommendations (30 min).
