Complete your pre-marriage counseling requirement at the MSWDO in Mapandan. Required before applying for a marriage license.
Description
The MSWDO provides pre-marriage counseling to would-be couples as required before obtaining a marriage license. The counseling covers family planning, rights and responsibilities of marriage, and strengthening family solidarity. The service is mandated by law and the certificate issued is a prerequisite for marriage license application. Would-be couples, couples with marital problems, couples of reproductive age, and solo parents may avail of this service.
Requirements
- Personal Data Form
- Marriage Counselling Services Form
Procedure
- Apply at the MSWDO. Staff will refer you to the Population Office.
- Fill out the Personal Data Form and Marriage Counselling Services Form.
- Attend the Marriage Counseling Seminar conducted by MSWDO staff.
- After the seminar, the Pre-Marriage Counseling Certificate is signed by the counselor.
- Receive the duly signed Pre-Marriage Counseling Certificate.
