Mga programang nutrition at immunization mula sa RHU sa Mapandan.
Paglalarawan
The RHU implements the Nutrition Program for malnourished children (0–59 months and older) and the National Immunization Program (NIP) for children against vaccine-preventable diseases. The nutrition program includes assessment, deworming, feeding with nutrient-dense food, and monthly monitoring. The immunization program administers age-appropriate vaccines after reviewing the child's records and checking vital signs.
Mga Kinakailangan
- Birth Certificate (Municipal Civil Registry)
- Medical Records, Vaccination Records (from hospital of birth or pediatrician)
Prosedura
- For malnourished children (0–59 months): Barangay Nutrition Scholar assesses weight and height.
- Physician refers to RHU for deworming and medical intervention.
- Child is fed with nutrient-dense food (high carbohydrate and protein).
- Monthly monitoring of weight, height, and alertness.
- For immunization: BHW interviews child's information and reviews records.
- Midwife checks vital signs (weight and temperature).
- Midwife administers age-appropriate vaccine.
- Midwife advises parent on child care and expected outcome.
- Schedule next vaccination.
