Description
The Senior Citizen ID and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) ID are government-issued identification cards that provide holders with benefits and privileges under the law. Senior Citizens (60 years old and above) and PWDs are entitled to discounts, tax exemptions, and other benefits as mandated by RA 9994 (Senior Citizens Act) and RA 7277 (Magna Carta for Disabled Persons). The IDs are processed through the MSWDO and MCR in coordination with the national implementing agencies.
Requirements
- Birth certificate or PSA-issued document as proof of age (for Senior Citizens)
- Barangay certification of residency
- Two (2) pieces of 2x2 ID photos
- Medical certificate (for PWD applicants, indicating the nature of disability)
Procedure
- Secure a barangay certification of residency from your barangay office.
- For PWD applicants, obtain a medical certificate indicating the nature and severity of the disability.
- Submit all required documents to the MSWDO or MCR office.
- Wait for verification and processing of your application.
- Receive your Senior Citizen or PWD ID upon approval.
